Presenting Adel Amin’s Egyptian & Middle Eastern Drumming Workshop!Packed with valuable wisdom and skill, the workshop runs for an hour on a half on Saturday 8th August at The School of Arts Hall in Eumundi.Open to ALL levels.If you’re a dancer, this workshop is great for bringing your dance back to the beat. It tunes our ears and our bodies to better connect with the rhythm.
Egyptian Percussionist and Teacher Adel was awarded a scholarship to the Cairo Conservatorium of Music and commenced musical training (percussion, violin and piano) when 10 years old. Since coming to Australia, Adel has worked with a number of
Western and Middle Eastern bands including Sahara (now Boom Crash Opera), Black Train (a nine piece Gypsy band based in Sydney), The Amera Show (Sydney,) Javalani (South African soul and funk band based in Melbourne), and has performed at the Woodford Festival.
Adel continues to share his knowledge and love of Egyptian and Arabic music, particularly his skills as a Percussionist by teaching private classes and Australia-wide workshops.

If you’ve never seen Adel live before, this is a real treat. There will be an opportunity to perform with him on stage at our end of year production!

If you don’t have a drum, you can rent one from Adel for $5.
