Noosa International Film Festival

The Noosa International Film Festival is set for 3-6 November across the region from Noosa to Eumundi, Cooroy and Pomona.

Screening local, Australian and international talent on the big screen, NIFF will present over 140 short and feature length films plus cinematic events over the festival weekend.
Inside Cinema on Thursday 3rd presents An Evening with John Seale – the Academy Award winning Australian cinematographer will present an up close and personal account of a life spent making landmark films including The English Patient, Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone and more recently, Mad Max: Fury Road.
Opening Night on Friday 4th is the event not to miss with pre-film drinks under the stars followed by the Australian premiere of Melody, starring Aussie actress Rachael Blake.
An all premiere lineup of Australian and international feature films will screen Saturday and Sunday at BCC Cinemas Noosa.
13 Short film sessions will screen across venues over Saturday and Sunday – sure to entertain, make you laugh or get you thinking and talking.
It wouldn’t be a celebration of cinema without a classic and The Majestic Theatre in Pomona will screen the 1920 classic silent horror, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, directed by Robert Wiene with traditional pianist on Saturday evening.
The Ecoflicks screening in Cooroy on Sunday 6th will showcase the stories that matter to us most with the best submitted short films from this category along with the Queensland premiere of USA documentary, SEED: The Untold Story.
