This is a celebration of Christopher Hardwick’s first year in Tanzania. A highlight will be on the Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00hrs at Wan’din’ in Arts Space with demonstrations, displays and a presentation by a colleague from Tanzania who will be accompanying me on this trip home. Emanuel Mbise is an artisan in contemporary jewellery and traditional Tanzanian beading and knotting techniques. There will also be an array of fabrics, clothing, jewellery, uncut gemstones, paintings among other items for sale. Half of the profit from each sale will be returned to the maker in Tanzania so they can upgrade some of their tools and equipment.
Friday 17:00 — 2030hrs in the CWA Hall Eumundi
Will be a ticketed event at $AUS15-00 per head and will include a slide show, presentation and a taste of Tanzanian food, you will learn what to do with ‘Cobbler’s Hook’.
Saturday will be a stall at Eumundi Markets.
