Michelle Brown has been performing for over 20 years and is known for her big bluesy voice and dynamic stage presence. The multi award winning Michelle Brown cut her teeth in the Queensland blues circuit with acclaimed guitarist Peter Steele before becoming the powerhouse front Woman for the incredibly successful & A.P.R.A. award winning New Orleans Blues Trio “The Big Easy”. An iconic stalwart of the festival circuit for many years including Kangaroo Point Jazz & Blues Festival, Brisbane Blues Festival, Broadbeach Blues Festival, River Fire, Gympie Muster, Dingo Creek and several years headlining at “The Blues Tent” at Woodford Folk Festival just to name a few. Over her many years in the East Coast Blues Scene Michelle has performed with everyone from James Morrison, Phil Emanuel to Doc Span & Lil Fi. Recently she has teamed with long time musical partner John Maier and S.E.Q. Blues veterans Bob Ward & Terence Bernard to form “Redbelly Black” a polished Trio favouring raunchy blues & rootsy-funk. The band matches Michelle’s vocal power with smoking guitar, deep grooves and soul drenched Hammond and piano.
THE BAND ARE ALL SUNNY COAST LOCALS WHO HAVE A PASSION FOR PERFORMING 70S AND 80S ROCK CLASSICS AS TRUE AS POSSIBLE TO THE ORIGINAL. THEY THRIVE ON AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION AND A FULL DANCE FLOOR AND HAVE DEVELOPED A STRONG LOCAL FOLLOWING.

Together this band play an eclectic mix of old and new popular songs ranging from indie pop rock, some classic rock from the 70’s and 80’s plus some great modern dance and RnB from 2000 onwards.
