From Fashion Student to Sustainable Style Advocate – and very Stylish Dresser!!!
Q: How did your journey into fashion begin?
Kylie: I studied fashion design at TAFE, and that’s when I first learnt about the environmental impact of the fashion industry. It really struck me how crazy it all is. That’s when I knew I wanted to be part of the solution – to make fashion not just stylish, but sustainable.
For me, sustainable fashion isn’t a trend – it’s the future.
Re-finding Purpose Through Pre-Loved Fashion
Q: How did White Sorceress first come to life?
Kylie: In 2023, I opened my first pop-up inside an upcycled furniture store in Coolum Beach. At the time, I was coping with the devastating loss of my two-year-old son and a separation. Returning to “normal” work felt impossible, but creating a space for pre-loved clothing gave me purpose and a way forward.
It started small, but it became the seed of something bigger – a second-hand fashion boutique on the Sunshine Coast with heart and soul.
White Sorceress Casts Her Spell on Eumundi
Q: When did you move to Eumundi?
Kylie: By February 2024, I had the opportunity to open White Sorceress at Eumundi Pavilion. Running a small business here has been both challenging and healing. It’s taught me how to show up each day – through grief, motherhood, and entrepreneurship – as a single mum to my now 12-year-old.
Eumundi has been the perfect home – it’s creative, vibrant, and community-driven.
