And what’s more, it benefits consumers as it means more variety and unique goods to shop. It also means characterful and colourful shopping; meeting people who are passionate about what they sell, engaging with fascinating local personalities, and finding out a bit more about the area. It really makes a big difference in many ways when you buy local.
A few places you won’t want to miss on your ‘buy local’ visit to Eumundi…
Known the world over – our Eumundi Markets
The world-famous markets are a bustling haven for local businesses. You’ll find local creative work and produce throughout the markets. Head for the area between the swirling flags where the focus is purely on local – with their ‘Make it, Bake it, Sew it, Grow it’ ethos. This part of the Eumundi Markets is renowned for its artisan treasures. This is simply the biggest artisan market in Australia and you’ll see support for local enterprise throughout.
Across the road, you’ll find Eumundi Square, with an array of local goodies, food and musicians, and the Parkside area is great for local delicacies, honey, macademia nits and more!
Market days are Saturdays 7am – 2 pm and Wednesdays 8am to 2pm.

Divine Local Flowers & Goodies
Perched on the main street and bursting with blooms, owner of Eumundi & Co. Kate, is Eumundi born and bred. In fact, she went to school in Eumundi and has the old school book with her picture in it in the shop to prove it. If you ask, she’ll be very happy to show you!
The whole reason for Kate opening Eumundi and Co, was to create a shop for local people (and visitors of course), so that they could buy gifts, flowers and pottery from local suppliers, at prices they could afford.
Kate loves Eumundi. “I just love the people and the vibe. Eumundi’s got such a great community spirit. I still love wandering around the market, taking in the great atmosphere. And of course the coffee at Eumundi Coffee Roasters just up the road is second to none!” she says.
Here’s What Eumundi’s Local Business Owners Have to Say about Shopping Local
Boutique Shopping at it’s Best
Erin from Eumundi Style says she tries to support local businesses in her boutique clothes and homewares store on the main street. “It’s really important that people take the time to shop locally. You find unique things that you won’t see anywhere else and visit unique locations like Eumundi Style and the whole town of Eumundi’.

Freshly Roasted and Ground Coffee Right on your Doorstep
“Shopping Local supports the community that you live in. In a world where social media promotes everything outside of your community (and big businesses), I think coming back to the community that you exist in and being able to support the families that create those local products is one of the best ways to bring life into small towns”.
