Support our incredible local artisans and shop local this Christmas!

Christmas is upon us! – and for those who are looking to celebrate a loved one with a Christmas gift, finding a gift that ticks the conscious consumer box can be an arduous task.

Gift giving is widely practised around the world and has been for centuries. For most children, the anticipation of unwrapping a gift with their name on it from under the tree on Christmas morning will hold life long memories of joy and wonder. For some adults though, the Christmas period can cue feelings of conflict as they struggle to find the balance between consumerism and authentic celebration.

The Eumundi Community is recognised around the world for our famous artisan Markets – and the ethos of “make it, bake it, sew it, grow it” is an underlying current that has been there from the very beginning. Some would say that Eumundi as a town, has been a prominent incubator of the grassroots movement in supporting local artists, makers and growers.

Now more than ever, buying with a value of locally made, from our local community members, can have a massive ripple effect globally. Through buying locally from our stallholders, you can reduce plastic packaging, buy with intent, buy products made from natural materials, support local artists, know the genuine origin of your purchase and ultimately create a more conscious Christmas experience!

“Make it, bake it, sew it, grow it” is such a relevant ethos to support at all times of the year – and especially at Christmas.

For those of you who have avoided the shopping centres, you are in luck! The final Eumundi Twilight Christmas market of 2019 is this Friday the 20th December.

Join us in the Christmas spirit, shop local and have yourself a conscious little Christmas in Eumundi!
