Passionate About Making a Difference
Pottery for the Planet was founded by Renton Bishopric and his partner, Claire Preen. Renton, an experienced potter, and Claire, an environmental advocate, combined their passions for sustainability and craftsmanship to create a brand dedicated to offering eco-friendly, reusable ceramic products. Their mission is to reduce the reliance on single-use plastics by providing beautiful, functional, and durable alternatives, thereby promoting a more sustainable and conscious lifestyle. And they have taken the Sunshine Coast by storm!

Plastic Free Eumundi
As you walk around Eumundi town and it’s colourful shops, cafes, bars, and markets, you’ll discover numerous businesses making efforts to become Plastic Free. On the main street, Eumundi Coffee Roasters have pretty much eliminated single use plastics in their coffee shop, and in the markets Conscious Path Organics, Hummble and Healthy Focus Eco Store sell only eco-friendly products – and there are many more to choose from.
Plastic Free Eumundi Markets
Particularly in the Original Eumundi Markets section of the markets (identified by the swirling flags), you’ll find businesses are generally environmentally conscious in their offerings and most either produce their own goods locally or support local suppliers.
Many of Eumundi Market’s food stall owners turned away from single use plastic a long time ago and you’ll find most only offer bio cups, paper straws and plates, and wooden and biodegradable cutlery.
Plastic Free Sunshine Coast & Plastic Free Noosa
In Queensland, a range of single-use plastic items are now banned from supply. These banned items include straws, stirrers, plates, unenclosed bowls, and cutlery. Plastic Free Sunshine Coast and Plastic Free Noosa have been pivotal in promoting these changes to businesses and the community for years and it’s fantastic to see much of the community now committed to supporting plastic free initiatives.
